A stripper deck is an ordinary looking deck of cards that have been (un-noticeably) shaved down on one side. This permits all kinds of cool tricks. The simplest involves having someone pull a card out to identify it and then placing it back into the deck (which will be upside down). You can easily slide your thumb down the side of the deck and feel their card, allowing you to correctly identify the pulled card every time.
