To start with Card Magic, you only need a few tools: A good deck of playing cards and instruction material.

Most of the Card Magicians use Bicycle playing cards to perform their tricks. However, some also prefer Tally-Ho or Bee. This is just a matter of feeling, since the quality of these decks are practically the same.

However, not only Youtube is a good source for Card Magic. We do have a bunch of DVDs which you can use to learn Card Magic. Most of these tricks will be available on Youtube as well, but some are also not on Youtube. Another advantage of DVDs is that tricks are bundled and ready to be used. You do not need to search for tricks, they are just on the DVDs.

Close-up pad

Finally, an optional, but very useful tool is a close-up pad. It really makes it a lot easier to do your card tricks, since you can get under your decks more easily than when performing on a table. Also, the card can be easily spread and they do not get dirty as much as when you use a table.
